The purpose of this assignment was to bring a product to life, but I chose to focus on exploring character animation while I had the opportunity. In ways, the process reminded me a bit of game design. The character is potrayed as curious yet clumsy, and these traits are reflected throughout the short film clip.
AFTERTHOUGHTS
Character animation has a lot of layers to it and I feel like as if I only scratched the surface. A significant amount of work went into creating movements that flow naturally and cohesively, and through this process I gained a deeper appreciation for how much detail and intention are required to give an animated character personality.
