Konditor SM 2026 - time to bake!
A poster design created for an assignment focused on lighting, composition, and visual storytelling. The goal was to create promotional material for a Swedish baking competition. My goal was to create depth and atmosphere while drawing attention to the pastry as the central focal point.
LIGHTING
A key light was used to highlight the front pastry, establishing it as the main focal point while casting shadows toward the back of the scene to enhance dimension. A soft light for the fork was then added to brigthen and make it more visable. A third light illuminated the background to separate the subject from the scene, while an additional light was directed at the flowers to subtly enhance the surrounding details .
AFTERTHOUGHTS
This was a highly engaging and creative assignment that provided an opportunity to really explore composition and lighting. Through the process, I developed a stronger understanding of how lighting, placements, and visual balance can influence the overall mood and impact of an image. The project also included a constructive feedback session, which encouraged reflection and helped refine both the technical and visual aspects of the final result.
